SABATIE ARE BURE BOKEH
‘Sabatie Are Bure Bokeh’ which roughly translates to rough, blurred out and out of focus in Japanese pronunciation (Sabatie being the direct translation of the name Sabatier, after the zoologist and photographer Armand Sabatier), is an intimate project inspired by the exploration of some of the UK’s QPoC club scenes and the euphoric, dreamlike sensation felt when attending these inclusive events. The series encompasses and illustrates the bold identities of QPoCs and those who unapologetically stand in their truth.
