EMERALD GUISE
‘Emerald Guise’ was inspired by the documentary tough guise & the wizard of oz. Through research on masculinity and its metaphorical prevalence in film & tv, I found that the wizard of oz himself came to be a great metaphor for how masculinity functions as a guise within society.

Masculine tropes I came across often in my research were those focused around Fighters, Business Men and Cowboys which I feel all represent the epitome of masculinity throughout different eras of film & tv.
